The Pink
Room has twin beds, antique and reproduction furniture and a colourful
yellow tiled bathroom with a view onto the centuries old walnut tree,
an ornithologists paradise in spring!
The Family Room on the ground floor is really a small flat - a living
area with a sofa that doubles as a single bed, a curtained off kitchen
with sink, fridge, 2 ring hob, all crockery and utensils, a table
for 4. There is a small double bedded room and a bathroom decorated
with blue and white portuguese walltiles. All furniture is locally
made traditional portuguese and hand painted. The room has easy access
to the cloisters and patio area where there is a table for eating
al fresco.
The long green gallery sitting room leads to the grand staircase and
the choir stalls of the church. The table where guests take their
breakfast is at the end of this room. During cooler months a log fire
is generally lit, giving a very cosy atmosphere. There are also many
shelves stocked with books, mainly in english for guests to browse
through, and, a wealth of guides, maps and large books on just about
everything of interest to see locally or further afield. |

A small fridge is kept
stocked with soft drinks, beer, milk, and, of course Piers own Vinho
Verde " Quinta da Franqueira".
There is a Card Room with TV. and Videoplayer, a collection of popular
videos and Childrens rocking horse. |
